The AMA Roller® is a particularly good pipe rotator. In the past, we have looked for different products, but could not find anything like this, or a product with a similar mechanism, which would be as easy to use and durable as the AMA Roller®. This is the best device on the market, we have already ordered more. The products are absolutely perfect for our prefabrication facilities.

First, we purchased the AMA® Pipe Stand set and later the AMA Roller® Pipe Rotator. We have also made versatile use of AMA® Centering collars and AMA® Collar tighteners. The most important criteria with regard to our work are the quality, functionality and durability of these products in the day-to-day operations of our company.

The AMA Roller® eliminates the need for extra adjustments, increasing our work efficiency, accuracy and quality. In addition, better ergonomics as a whole is, of course, important. It’s also great that the manufacturer actively develops its AMA® products.

AMA® pipe welding products are durable. I can say this after almost 40 years of working in the welding industry and seeing many different solutions both in Finland and around the world. Last summer, I finally bought an AMA Roller® pipe rotator and the work goes smoothly – just sit and weld!

AMA® products have a wide range of adjustment options, which means you can change your posture or working position as you need. You can do precision welding more efficiently and for a longer time. Thanks to AMA® pipe welding products, the quality of our workmanship is very high, and the products are also great for working on industrial pipelines that remain visible after installation.

Their service for spare parts and maintenance could not be better. I once needed new bearings for a pipe welding stand: the manufacturer’s response was flexible – they sent me new ones immediately after I contacted them.

It is also nice to be able to suggest development ideas to the product manufacturer and they have a very positive attitude toward this feedback. Among other things, I have helped in devising the AMA® Gas Purge turntable and in developing the features of the AMA® Pipe Stand set.

“Scalable AMA products speed up work significantly”

In our company’s daily operations and on various construction sites, all of our professionals use AMA® products. For many years, we have used the AMA® Pipe Stands (A, B and C) with its accessories in many ways. At my own site, I use an AMA Roller® pipe rotator, among other things. The products significantly speed up the work and also improve accuracy and quality.

In the prefabrication of industrial process pipes, AMA® pipe welding products are worth their weight in gold. AMA®s are particularly useful because they are compact in size: they are easy to move and use even in tight spaces.

At the same time, the products are so strong that they can support large pipes. The AMA® range generally has good scalability for pipes of different sizes. Welders can easily adjust their working position according to the ongoing work phase and their individual needs.

“Great for mobile factory work”

We have used AMA® products for a long time as tools in various factory environments and in many of our units. For example, on factory sites which I visit, virtually every welding team of ours uses an AMA® Pipe Stand set (Movable Pipe Stands A, B and C). AMA® Centering Collars and AMA® Collar Tighteners are also used very much. In addition, we utilize several AMA® Counterweight Systems.

We have been using AMA® products in our company since the beginning of the company. Currently, we are using several AMA® Pipe Stand sets, AMA® Centering Collar and AMA® Collar Drivers, as well as, of course, the AMA® Roller!

I would say that, as a whole, using AMA® products boosts our efficiency by as much as tens of percents.  At all of our construction sites, our professionals utilize rotators (AMA® Pipe Stand sets), for example, all the time in both prefabrication and pipeline construction. Welders do not want to go back to previous methods

I was purchasing welding stands and was also looking for a reasonable-sized and reasonably priced pipe rotator. We typically have many phases in our preparatory work, where we (TIG) weld acid-resistant pipes and attach many kinds of components to them. When purchasing AMA Roller® it was clear that welding time would be used more efficiently, because there would be less stopping and starting. The time spent in TIG welding has been reduced by 20–30%.

Over a year’s experience has shown that the device is more versatile that we expected. We rotate all kinds of components that we used to have to rotate by hand. Our welders do not want to go back to previous work methods.

Our experiences in using the AMA Roller® pipe rotator have all been positive. In our prefabrication workshop we typically handle 200–250-mm pipes, which AMA Roller® is able to rotate in daily use without any kinds of problems. With several AMA Roller®’s our manual welding production has speeded up significantly, since the welders are able to concentrate on the essential, and the improved quality also lessens the need for finishing and fixing.

Earlier we used disk rotators to rotate pipes, but AMA Roller® is a significant innovation in this sector. I haven’t seen such a lightweight, functional, and easy-to-use device on the market before.

With over 20 years of experience in constructing various energy systems, we specialize in the installation and welding of industrial pipes. Starting my career in 2005, I encountered portable AMA® Pipe Stands at different job sites. Using them myself, I realized their simplicity and high utility.
